The Cedars Nursing Home, WV7 3JH are now recruiting for a Registered Nurse, RNA/RGN who shares the same passion in providing the best care possible and creating a home from home environment for both residents and staff.

As a nurse with Springcare you would lead and motivate a care team, whilst ensuring that the quality of care we provide is what we would want for our family & friends.

With a flexible and “can do” approach, you would be able to adapt to the needs of the home and fully meet our residents medical, physical and emotional requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

You would hold an active NMC pin number or be eligible to undertake nurse supervised practice// OSCE, and be able to demonstrate both excellent clinical & communication skills (both written and oral)

Main Duties & responsibilities of the role:

Responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development of programmes of care/and or implementation and evaluation of these programmes:

To carry out and implement person centred care plans: To liaise with GP’s, Social Workers, Hospital teams and families: Administration of medication/drugs: Monitor patient’s progress, apply surgical dressings and give forms of treatment: Carry out routine investigations: respond quickly to emergencies: Advise on nursing care, disease prevention, nutrition etc and liaise with the management on issues concerning nursing policy: Carry out Clinical skills such as Venepuncture, wound care, catheter care: Assist the matron to ensure that each resident receives care appropriate to his/her individual needs: Assist the manager to secure and sustain the home for the residents, promote a caring environment through high standards of professional practice conductive to the physical, emotional, social, intellectual and spiritual needs to the residents: Assist medical doctors, deal with emergencies and prepare patients for examination: Participate in the preparation for physical and psychological treatment of mentally ill patients: To monitor and supervise junior staff:

This role would be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory job references plus an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) background check.

Salary: £16.50 -£17.00 per hour
