Hinstock Manor Care Home has come first place in the annual Drayton in Bloom competition. Fending off huge competition to win the award for the Best Business Garden.
The judges were impressed with how each resident had their own plant pot and therefore felt they had contributed to the garden and entering the competition.
They also commented on how all staff worked together as a team to make the care home residents lives a little brighter.
Hinstock Manor won a trophy, a certificate and have been included in the local Council Facebook page. Their achievement will also be in the local newspaper and the care home will also be advertised in the local village Town Hall as a category winner.
An exceptionally proud Deputy Care Home Manager, Clare Dunn said, “I would like to thank everyone who has helped win this award, from the cleaning of the slabs to creating the beautiful hanging baskets at the entrance of our care home.”
“From a simple idea I found on Facebook, to be allowed an opportunity enter the competition with the residents gave me huge belief we could win. I must say at present, I’m one proud member of of the Springcare team.”
Another Springcare care home, Beech House also received an award for second place in the competition and both care homes are looking forward to trying to repeat their success next summer.
