Birthday celebrations at Kingscourt

Residents at Kingscourt have been enjoying activities this week. Cynthia celebrating her 90th birthday which she really enjoyed. Our residents found comfort in nursing our dementia dolls. Also two of our residents enjoyed a visit to Chester cathedral to see the knife angel which they both found very moving.

The Cedars in Albrighton were visited by the best little live wires we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. “Our lovely childminders Kelly and our fab five William, Ivy, Miles, Evangeline and Isla visited us for national story time day for singing, stories and crafts. It was loved by all.’

Armistice Day at The Cedars

Residents at The Cedars in Albrighton held a remembrance day tea and reminisced and remembered all those who gave their lives to improve the lives of us today. They enjoyed paying for their tea and cake with a ration ticket, provoking memories and lots of discussion.

Kingscourt residents prepare for Remembrance Sunday

Residents at Kingscourt in Chester have been crocheting poppies with the help of our volunteer, Denise. The residents enjoyed our arts and crafts class. The poppy day service and parade will be watched by our residents on Sunday. Crochet poppies have also been on display at our head office, worn on the lapels of jackets.

National Hug a Bear Day at Kingscourt

On Thursday for National Hug a bear day, this little bear, named Nicola, visited Kingscourt in Chester. Lots of teddy cuddles were had and I think Nicola will be returning again.
