General Information

Yockleton Grange is a friendly and highly professional residential home located in Yockleton. It is easily approached from Shrewsbury, surrounding villages and Welshpool. The home prides itself on the quality of care provided and the homely atmosphere upon which many residents and visitors have commented.

The original house was a former rectory This has been extended to provide additional accommodation and rooms with en-suite facilities. The building stands in three acres of beautiful landscaped gardens which residents often use, either to relax or to garden and grow plants of their own. There is ample parking on site. Visitors are always welcomed.

As with all spring care homes in Shrewsbury, Yockleton Grange is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to provide accommodation and personal care for up to 30 Older people to include seven people with a learning disability over the age of 55.

Social Activities:

• There are regular activities and entertainers regularly visit within the home.
• An Activities Coordinator is employed who offers Residents a wide range of activities and craftwork.
• The Activities Coordinator also plans regular outings and events with the use of our mini-bus.

Services:

All services which our residents need to fulfil their lives are arranged at Yockleton Grange:

• These include Clergy Visits, Chiropodist, Hairdressers.
• At meal times there is an extensive menu offered daily.
• In the unlikely event that there is nothing offered on the menu which appeals, our excellent Chef will do his best to meet any requirements.
• Special diets are catered for. Our Nursing Staff will liaise with the dietetics department at the local hospital and advise the Chef accordingly.
