General information

Windy Knowe is situated in the residential area of Oxton, Birkenhead and has rear views over the open fields of nearby Wirral Ladies Golf Course. The building originates to 1903 and retains the original architecture within the communal areas. We have recently refurbished Windy Knowe to a high standard.

An activities coordinator is employed within the home to provide individual, group and general activities for the residents. These activities are adapted to suit individual needs and include outside entertainers and trips out utilising our mini bus. As we pride ourself on both belief in socialising and individual needs, there are three communal lounges, two dining rooms and a quiet room for one to one or private meetings within the home. Our Activities Coordinator liaises with local support groups, churches and schools to provide a varied selection of activities.

Windy Knowe is both a Nursing and residential home with 49 beds on three floors all accessible by lift. All have access to the extensive gardens to the rear of the building. Visitors are welcomed.
